Dr. Edmond is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park School of Public Health, Department of Family Science; a graduate of the University of Albany, Rockefeller College School of Public Administration; a Certified Trauma Specialist (CTS); and a Certified Mental Health First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid Trainer.<\/p>

Dr. Edmond has more than 20 years\u2019 experience as\u00a0an administrator,\u00a0trainer, lecturer, author, and researcher in the areas of early childhood education, child abuse and neglect, child and adolescent development, domestic violence prevention, mental health, Haitian culture and traditions, and parenting. She has developed national training for Head Start directors, teachers, and staff members, as well as conducted seminars and workshops in Canada, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Haiti, Mexico, and South Africa. She is a founding board member of the Taratibu Youth Association, a young people\u2019s performing arts organization, and a former\u00a0maternal mentor for the Mental Health Association – Mothers Offering Maternal Support (MOMS) program in Montgomery County, Maryland. Dr. Edmond is committed to ensuring that Wiseop, Inc. uses\u00a0outreach efforts, mental health approaches, and parenting support practices\u00a0that are theoretically,\u00a0culturally,\u00a0and\u00a0biblically based in order to better serve the most vulnerable in poor communities. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
