Participatory Research

Wiseop Inc., seeks to expand the body of knowledge on mothers, fathers, and children in low-resource communities to increase awareness of the socio-cultural context of their daily lives. Wiseop Inc., uses culturally appropriate instruments and methods to assess the resources and   stressors within communities and families so that parents, teachers, and health professionals can positively impact the lives of children.  

Research projects include the following exploratory study of parenting stress, parental depression, and social support in the rural community of Leogane, Haiti -The Lakou System: A Cultural, Ecological Analysis of Mothering in Rural Haiti
